The Bible is filled with information, but where are the key passages for living a good Christian life? What are the personality traits and characteristics of a Christian? Let's take a look at Colossians 3:12 written by the apostle Paul: "Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye." (KJV) This is echoed in Galatians 5:22 as, " But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, (Galatians 5:23) meekness, temperance: against such there is no law." (KJV) I invite you to read Colossians 3, and Galatians 5. Before you start to read, invite the Holy Spirit and ask for understanding. As you read these sections, write down any feeling, or thought that comes to you as you read these sections. I am happy to hear your thoughts. Please feel free to write your comments here.

My church is small. Due to its size, if it was thing we have trouble with it is finding a youth pastor who understands, and lives according to the Bible (at least as much as possible). What I find is that children raised in Christian homes are familiar with God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the Bible. However, children being brought to the church for the first time in their pre-teen years seem to struggle with it. What is your approach to teach children about God, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus? What mechanisms do you use to teach kids this information?
